10 Feb 2021 – 12 UTC anomalies and temperatures

Another bitterly cold day across IONA with 12 UTC anomalies as low as -13.3°C at Altnaharra, and typically between -6 to -9°C below the LTA in other parts. The coldest actual temperature was on top of Cairngorm with a temperature of -11.2°C, but Altnaharra wasn’t far too far behind that with a temperature of -8.8°C at midday despite the blues skies and sunshine that we’ve enjoyed today across most of Scotland. The question is how low will it go tonight at Altnaharra or will Braemar beat them to -20°C?
