17 April 2020 – Sunshine analysis

Almost wall to wall sunshine across northern Scotland yesterday – hopefully we will do even better today when the sun rose out of a cloudless sky at 0457 UTC this morning. With sunset today at 1937 UTC, that makes the day 14 hours and 40 minutes long up here. For the record Stornoway was the sunniest place with 13.6 hours of sunshine. Rather surprisingly Shoeburyness managed almost 8 hours in Essex and escaped the rain to boot, I don’t think it’ll get away with it today though.
