23-24 May 2021 – rainfall

Estimates from weather radar

Another wet 24 hours or so across IONA, that is away from some parts of Eastern England. A little surprised that there is no weather warning in force for heavy rain across the northeast of Scotland at the moment, with the hook of the bent back occlusion pivoting around Inverness for the rest of the day, and gutters close to overflowing in heavier bursts, totals are starting to mount up. Still they know best. I hope they make a better job of fixing the Stornoway radar than they did last time, whenever it is they get around to it.
