31 Mar 2021 – Large temperature contrasts across IONA

It looks like today was fractionally warmer than yesterday, especially down the east coast of England, where temperature anomalies at Weybourne on the north Norfolk coast, were a massive 13.6°C above the LTA for 12 UTC. Meanwhile in stark contrast across northern Scotland temperature anomalies were between 2°C and 3°C below the LTA. Even for early spring when sea temperatures are still cold the last couple of days have still been rather exceptional.
