A little bit out I’m afraid Alex…

Poor old Alex Deakin knew that it was a cold day across the country, but if he had been paying attention to temperatures across the Highlands this lunchtime, he must have just forgot to pass that information onto the viewer in this afternoon’s video forecast from the Met Office. The city locations they’ve chosen for all four sites they use for temperature labels in Scotland don’t help either – thay are all coastal sites for crying out loud. What about a tempearture for Stirling or Aviemore? As for the map projection which they continue to use despite complaints and protestations from many Scots (and the odd tirade from this site too), shrinks Scotland to make it even less significant in the eyes of the UKMO, whose forecasters are well known for their Scotia Myopia at the best of time.
