A parched March

It is not uncommon to get a dry anticyclonic March across IONA and so far this one is looking a little on the dry side. If I’ve got my coding right it looks like Pershore is the driest place at the moment with just over 9 mm of precipitation so far this month. There are quite a number of stations across the southwest of Ireland and England that have gone a week or more without rain. It might well have been even drier if it hadn’t been for the short cyclonic interlude ushered in by the storm that wasn’t named on the 10th of March.
