A picture of clarity

The latest set of weather warnings issued by the UKMO have meant that their warnings board has now become a hotchpotch of layered yellow and amber warnings for strong wind, heavy rain, snow and ice. It’s particularly unclear across the northwest of England where four separate yellow weather warnings are layered one on top of the other. There just has to be a better way of displaying warnings on a map than this. It would help if on selecting one particular warning, the other warnings were either hidden or better still greyed out, at least then you could then you would have a better chance of making out the boundary of the warning area that you were interested in.
