Another long range weather warning for strong winds issued a full three days in the future from the Met Office this morning. This style of heads up warning seems to be what they intend do with all their warnings from now on. That’s a good thing but only if they remain accurate and aren’t continually tweaked or cancelled before they even come into force! Looking at the forecast charts for Monday, it certainly looks a very windy in western parts, so it’s a fair bet that this particular intense low (937 hPa) could well be named storm Brendan, that’s if Met Eireann have anything to do with it. Tuesday has the potential for being even windier across southern parts as the secondary low looks well placed for further rapid development, so expect another long range warning this time tomorrow, maybe for storm Clara?
