Accumulations in excess of 175 mm in Lochaber

Highest rainfall accumulations in the Lochaber region of Scotland for the last 40 hours or so (since 18 UTC on the 21st of May) indicate that there has been between 175 and 200 mm of rainfall on the highest ground (deep purple pixels). The rain shadow effect has been in overdrive, and has managed to keep accumulations further east in the 2 to 16 mm range. These are of course estimates from weather radar but more often or not quite accurate. None of these accumulations have attracted any kind of warning from the UKMO, because their warnings system is impact based, who knows how much rain would have to fall before it triggered a yellow warning.
