Altered reality

Who knows what the validity time is for the BBC analysis they never say

Interesting to see just how a whole frontal systems, weak as it is, can suddenly disappear in the BBC weather forecast. Not only does it explain the rain in the northwest it also explains the slightly cooler day on Thursday. Not that matters much to Helen Willetts in her lunchtime forecasts of course, she’s more concerned about how the mist and drizzle would spoilt it for campers in the southwest rather than what was happening further north. Weathercasters as usual at this time of year seem totally obsessed with this weekend’s high temperatures and persist with the misleading “Hot and sunny” headline for the whole of the UK. That’s the problem with simplifying analyses and headlines some things are bound to get left out.
