Autumn temperature marked by warm Europe

If you break down the temperature anomalies into weekly anomaly charts for this Autumn as I have done here, you will notice that generally Europe has been on the mild or very mild side of average through this Autumn, whilst in contrast the eastern Atlantic and Scandinavia have been rather cold at times. No doubt it’s all down to the jet stream – you remember that ribbon of fast flowing air high up in the atmosphere – as most things seem to be these days.
