Coldest start to July since 1996

I reckon if the latest CET data is anything to go by that it’s the coldest start by day to a July since 1996 across the UK. Across the country daytime maxima have been between two or three degrees below the daily LTA. Nighttime minima on the other hand have been around one degree above average south of latitude 55° north, but not across the north of Scotland, were minima have generally been between one to three degrees below the LTA, which is not surprising with the recent air frosts across Sutherland in the last week. Despite what the Met Office are forecasting for the rest of July temperatures across the UK seem to have flatlined at the moment.
