Early start to tropical cyclone season?

There could be an early start to the tropical cyclone in the north Atlantic this year if this system close to Bermuda develops. Meanwhile over 3,000 miles to the E’NE we have our own extratropical cyclone, low Marco, that’s a little more potent at 983 hPa this morning. Looking back at the analyses for the last few days and I notice that our part of Scotland has had a occlusion for the last 48 hours which explains the awful cold weather, roll on Marco.
