First nip of autumn

There was a definite first nip of autumn in the air again this morning in Ross-shire, with temperatures down to 1.7°C at Loch Glascarnoch overnight. I noticed just a single patch of snow in the top of one of the corries on the northeast side of Ben Wyvis yesterday, so they are all now empty awaiting refilling. In complete contrast another tropical night at a number of stations in Belgium and Germany. The air temperature curve in the thermograph for Glascarnoch below could easily fit below the dewpoint curve for Maastricht.
