Friday’s low

Nothing particularly unusual about Friday’s low for May. The ECMWF hires model has it’s minimum central pressure at around 970 hPa at midnight on Friday. They forecast the low itself will skirt wide of the northwest of Ireland and the outer Hebrides but might make a direct hit on Rockall. I should imagine that Met Eireann may already have an Orange warning for strong wind ready to go for Friday for counties Mayo and Donegal, but the UKMO will play it cool as usual, because after all they are used to it up there.
