Global temperatures fall back in October

Five of the seven main global temperature series have posted their estimates of the global temperature anomaly for the month of October 2020 so far, and the results show that although there was a surprising increase in the 12 month average from the UAH series, the four other series that have declared either show a levelling or a fall back off from the record September values, as usual the HadCRUT and JMA series have still to report. The slowing in the 12 month average has been apparent for a good part of 2020, and I see no reason to suspect that 12 month averages will continue to fall back in the months to come especially now that a La Niña event has begun.
