Historic moment as Benson see’s its first rainfall in over a month

Benson Observations

It’s raining at 10 UTC this morning at Benson, the first time in over a month. What it’ll amount to when they report their 06 to 12 UTC total is anyone’s guess, hopefully it will be enough to break their 33 day drought. In the last 36 hours the heaviest of the rain seems to have fallen across the southern uplands of Scotland rather than further north where most of the models forecast it would be. So far the far southeast has remained totally dry, but probably not for much longer.
