How did yesterday’s yellow warnings fare?

There were two seperate yellow warnings from the Met Office for heavy rain yesterday and both of them proved quite accurate. I can vouch for the one in the northeast of Scotland, where it rained all day yesterday and still is. I also notice that the Met Office have issued another yellow warning for heavy rain for the southeast of Scotland, these wrap round occlusions seem to be responsible for a lot of situations like this recently along the east coast. I also noticed with my beady eye that there was an anomalous area of high rainfall totals around Stokesley in the northeast of England (most of the heaviest fell just after midnight), with estimated totals of 50-75 mm and which fell out with the area of both yellow warnings issued for yesterday.
