Someone seems to have finally got the message and included Easter Ross in the latest warning for snow and ice. So often recently it has been mysteriously left out of any number of warnings that have been issued recently. This might come as a bit of a shock to the Great Oz down in Exeter, he seems to be under the illusion that “icy patches are likely to form overnight”, but here in our part of the Highlands icy patches formed over a week ago and so far have stubbornly refused to melt. Of all the warnings the one for ice is sometimes the most silly. I’m sure that there’s still plenty of water around from the recent heavy rain and snow, and with temperatures forecast to be well below zero again overnight, isn’t the formation of ice in places an inevitably for the entire country?
