If you want a story about record low Arctic sea ice then forget it!

Arctic sea ice extent has again proved far more resilient for whatever reason than forecast by most if not all of the scientific pundits, and has refused to produce – like it did last year – a new record low minimum. Yes I know, there are still a couple more weeks before minimum is reached and I’m playing a hunch but that’s what I do most days. The extent hasn’t slid like it did in 2012, and if anything it’s bolstered its position at #3 for the 27th of August. If I’m wrong I’ll hang my head in shame before I knock out the next story about the vagaries of the world’s climate.
