It’s frosty up north

We seem to have seen quite a number of frosts this autumn in Scotland, as it’s been rather cold for most of the time till now. The number of air frosts is generally in the range 9 to 19 inland upto the 19th November, but without long term averages for these sites it’s hard to tell just how unusual this is, I’d guess is slightly above average. Meanwhile the Met Office have issued a mid term report on how variable temperature, rainfall and sunshine have been so far this November across the UK.
