Juliane a retrograde kind of low

My quite fanciful analysis of today’s 12 UTC chart but what the hell. It’s quite unusual that you get a retrograde kind of low like Juliane is forecast to be. Pressure is already falling quite nicely in the warm air over northern Germany as a circulation forms around an embryonic Juliane. The freezing level is already close to 4,000 feet across the Cairngorms, so it’s no wonder that the models are going for strong winds and snow over the very highest ground overnight Friday across northeast Scotland.
