Last 36 hours precipitation totals
Aberdeenshire have escaped the worst of it in the last 36 hours, with not much more than a millimetre of precipitation, that’s not the case further west where most of it fell as snow especially on higher ground. Totals in the mountains of Knoydart and Kintail look to have been in excess of 60 mm during the 36 hours since 03 UTC yesterday.
South Wales has fared worst with 40 to 50 mm of precipitation in these estimates from weather radar imagery for the last 36 hours. The bulk of England has generally seen a minimum of 8 to 12 millimetres since 03 UTC yesterday, with some spots such as the Chilterns seeing upwards of 25 mm in that time.
