Do these visible satellite images look familiar? They should do the one on the left is of the occlusion that dropped all that rain over central northern England on the 7-8 of November. It seems to be happening again with another slow moving occlusion moving north over the same area. A yellow warning is in force for rain carefully constructed to just include the Don valley in its northern extent by the looks of things.
The rain has more or less reached all of the area outlined in the warning but does seem to still have a bit of northward momentum too it – lets hope it stays that way.
