Looks like Meteogroup picked the wrong model again

It is quite obvious that the air across the south of England is a lot more unstable than given credit for by whatever NWP model the BBC and Meteogroup have chosen to use today, as the recent weather radar images for lunchtime testify. A whole rash of heavy looking showers has just bubbled up across much of the southeast of England in the last hour or so and is organising itself into bands. It looks like nowhere is immune from a shower or two this afternoon apart from maybe the southwest of England and parts of eastern and central Scotland.
