An interesting chart for 16 UTC as low Gerlinde rushes E’NE across the country this afternoon. The NWP models were correct in that it never really formed a discrete centre. There were occasional snow showers through the day here in Ross-shire, the snow seems to be settling above 150 metres or so, with another very large temperature contrast north south across the country today. Further south it’s been a mild, wet and windier day than yesterday as these gusts to 17 UTC today show.
