Nine degrees colder at Larkhill

24 hour temperature difference

The air temperature was a little over nine degrees colder than 24 hours earlier in the garrison town of Larkhill in Wiltshire at 08 UTC this morning. In fact that kind of difference is pretty general across most of England and Wales south of latitude 52° north and must come as quite a shock after almost three days of very mild weather. Overnight there’s been a covering of snow above 200 metres in our part of the world in Easter Ross and it’s quite icy underfoot down in the strath.
