Occlusion too far south

Courtesy UKMO

I always keep an eye on the latest analysis from the UKMO, and the 12 UTC one for today has an occlusion aligned along the Caithness coastline and south of Orkney, the only trouble with that being that it was cloud free at that time. It’s nit picking I know, but the occlusion if that what it is, is just a little too far south. The missing Stornoway radar image would be handy to confirm that the occlusion seems to be bearing no precipitation either – Mr Occlusion it seems has struck again!
