One to keep an eye on

There is strong agreement for a deep low to cross the North of Scotland and an intense secondary low that will run quickly eastward across England next Thursday from both the GFS and the ECMWF models. Both models have the same tightening of the WNWl’y flow immediately behind the occluded centre. There have only been six named storms so far this season, and three of those were named by other Met Services, all six of them were non-events that most people will have now completely forgotten about.

  1. Aiden sticks in my mind for the powerful winds for the Saturday. I really struggled to stand up when rescuing bins. Then ex hurricane Zeta that next day. Definitely the most memorable of the winter’s storm.
