Geographically there is a sweet spot in Scotland that’s equally well sheltered from rainfall in easterly as well as westerly situations. Easter Ross might well be that spot, well those further east away from the firth at any rate. Last night places here missed most of the persistent heavy rain that’s fallen over Aberdeenshire and snook up the Moray coast to the east. I ought to keep count because similar things have happened on numerous occasions this year. I suppose learning the local climate is a process that we all go through when we’ve moved into a new area.
