Showers look threatening over Brest peninsula (updated)

At least Louise Lear mentioned the possibility of showers for the southwest this evening, which is something that Chris Fawkes seems to have dismissed entirely. I haven’t looked at the latest NWP but it does look like this batch of rain over the Brest peninsula has the southwest of England in its sights. There are few observations on the ground reporting rain over NW France at 15 UTC so it could be that the rain is not reaching the ground falling from medium level cloud.

Looking back in hindsight the rain over the NW France yesterday afternoon died out as it came NW and just clipped the Isles of Scilly.
