So you think it’s been dry in the south?

It’s certainly been a dry this spring across many places, and since the middle of March southern England hasn’t seen much in the way of rainfall, but if you take a closer look at bigger picture and winter and spring as a whole, you’ll find that accumulated precipitation in those regions is still well above the long term average. I’ve collected this data from SYNOP observations that I download from OGIMET and there may be an occasional missing observation.
