I think someone at the Met Office finally took the advice I offered them in my last blog. The snow warning in force for today across Northern Scotland has now been extended through till tomorrow and the southern boundary of it has been pushed much further south as I suggested. Oddly the “as much as 5-10 cm above 250m” remains unchanged even though the AWS at Loch Glascarnoch is now reporting 21 cm at 12 UTC and it’s still snowing! I bet the A835 road to Ullapool has been a bit challenging at times on the top this morning.
The main focus of the showers seems to have slipped slowly southward during the morning.
