The highest accumulations from the precipitation from storm Christoph in these weather radar estimates of mine are where you might have expected them, and that was over the high ground of the Pennines and Snowdonia, with the emphasis being on the western slopes across Lancashire and Greater Manchester, rather than further east. The highest totals across Snowdonia where there are a couple of purple pixels indicating 175 – 200 mm. Over the Pennines the estimates are 125 – 150 mm, but don’t forget this is for a 54 hour long period. If you wondering why the colours are so different from the other accumulation charts I had to switch to the extended colour scheme!
So there was no flooding of the river Don this time around.
