Surely this puts Scotland in the frame?

I have just seen the very latest 06 UTC run of the ICON and GFS models and couldn’t resist posting them. The gradient across the north of Scotland is equally, if not tighter than over the southwest at 00 UTC, and even allowing for cyclonic curvature you would have thought that the chief must be reflecting seriously on the state of his yellow warning of strong winds for tomorrow, which at the moment only includes the southwest of England and the north and west of Wales. Sunday looks set to be wild night across many parts of IONA , and Sunday night could produce some heavy snow and blizzards across the mountains in the north.
