Temperature Anomalies during the last seven days

Mean temperature Anomalies 5-11 August 2020

There is quite a spread of mean temperature anomalies across the UK in the last week across the UK at the moment, ranging from close to average across the north of Scotland to between 5°C and 8°C above the 1961-1990 LTA in the warmest places across the southeast. Temperatures across the continent are even higher than this, with anomalies widely between 8°C and 10°C above the LTA across much of northern France, Belgium and the Netherlands. This is the fifth consecutive day with temperatures higher than 90°F at Heathrow Airport.
