The kiss of death

Despite what both the latest visible satellite imagery and observations are saying here in Strathpeffer it’s been a fine and sunny right from dawn this morning. Against a backdrop of a blue sky there’s been a half cover of some lovely looking hooked cirrus coming an going, and a distant edge of a sheet of stratocumulus lying to the east in the Moray Firth. This post will no doubt be the kiss of death to this lovely morning we’ve enjoyed so far and by early afternoon there’ll probably be a full cover of SC at 1500 feet. This week we have been having our new and long awaited patio installed and the weather couldn’t have been better more like early May than March.
