The thin blue line

12 UTC anomalies
29 January – 30 January

The topsy-turvy temperatures of the last week or more continue to alternate across England, Wales and Ireland continue. Today its the turn of the colder air to be on the offensive and push that thin blue line south again. The line is the battle ground, a front if you like, that separates the positive anomalies in the south as they bump into the negative anomalies in that cold reservoir of air to the northeast. Bonus points if you’ve spotted at least three popular euphemisms in this blog.
