Today’s hit-and-miss rain

Using one of Tomasz Schafernaker’s favourite nonsensical clichés that he employs, today’s rainfall has been quite hit-and-miss across southwest and central southern England. Weather radar estimates indicate that it’s generally been quite wet for a spell, with 4 to 12mm up to 1250 UTC quite widely, but there were a couple of heavier bands, one of these at the moment is giving accumulations of over 30 mm across places in the Portsmouth area. The rain is pulsing SE to NW along the bands as it slowly edges NE towards the London area.
