Today’s real hot spots

Although Northolt was technically the warmest place today with a maximum temperature of 18.3°C, maximum anomalies were much higher along the Moray coast. Along the coast of eastern England in comparison anomalies were close to 5°C below the LTA, and at Weybourne the temperature never exceeded 8°C thanks to a moderate easterly wind. I’d be surprised if you heard much mention about either points on the BBC.
