Wet week ahead in northwest England and west of Wales

Courtesy wxcharts.com

Most of the frontal and cyclonic activity is forecast to be focused across parts of northwest and southwest England and the west of Wales during the coming four days, with places further north and in the southeast escaping the worst of it, fairly typical fare for mid January in IONA. Some of that rain over the higher ground further north looks likely to fall in the form of snow by the time we get to Wednesday. Aberdeenshire looks likely to be one of the driest spots in the country.
