Yesterdays rain and thunderstorms

Estimated 24 hour accumulations ending 06 UTC 10 May 2020

Unfortunately we live close to the wettest place in the UK yesterday and I can testify to the fact that yesterday afternoon was pretty dire with outbreaks of heavy rain up here, and which continued into the evening before the cold front eventually cleared through. Interesting area of thunderstorms that migrated E’NE from Pembrokeshire to the Humber across central England. The same thing must have happened across southern Eire but more widely, but these storms don’t look quite as mobile.
