29/30 Mar 2021 – massive range in temperatures

There was certainly a massive range in temperatures across the country last night. In many places in Northern Ireland and Scotland minimum temperature anomalies were between 8°C and 10°C above the LTA. At Lossiemouth the minimum never dropped below 12.7°C, which is 3.1°C above the mean daily maximum temperature for late March. Whilst places sheltered places further south saw a slight frost and minimum anomalies closer to -3°C or -4°C.
