Another very mild day in the north

Although not as exceptionally mild as yesterday across Scotland, temperatures are still well above average across parts of the north and west of IONA this lunchtime, with anomalies as high as six degrees above the 1981-2010 long term average in central and western Scotland. Here in the strath at 14 UTC the temperature was a very pleasant 14°C and the first daffodils were just starting to open up right on time for the start of spring. A little colder than average still in eastern England and East Anglia.
