12 UTC anomalies

I think the 12 UTC anomaly chart is much more informative than the 12 UTC wind chill chart. There were negative wind chill values down the east coast and on any high ground.

I notice as the axis of the ridge from the intense anticyclone Keywan slipped south across Scotland, and the winds backed to a more northwesterly, the very cold air that was around overnight at 4,000 feet early this morning has now warmed (relatively) quite considerably. It’s hard to believe that this thermograph from Cairngorm is for the end of March.
