Days above 20°C so far this year

Matt Taylor has picked up on the story that Sean Batty started last week about the number of days this year with a maximum temperature above 20°C. He reckons there’s been only one day so far this year in the whole UK, I can tell him that in Scotland there hasn’t even been one day and the last time it did exceed 20°C was on the 21st of September last year a full eight months ago. I reckon apart from the length of the day, leaves on the trees and a few flowers, there’s been very little difference between three of the four seasons in Scotland this year.
