I hate August

Fresher weather finally arrives across the north

Of all the weather months of the year I think the one I prefer least is August, and this one seems to be no exception. After what seems an age fresher weather has finally arrived in the northwesterly across the north of Scotland overnight, replacing what seems like endless weeks of both warm humid days and nights, I don’t know if I could have endured the many tropical nights that people across southern parts have gone through this summer. I reckon temperatures of 2°C at 4000 feet must equate roughly to the 546 dm partial thickness, and hopefully we won’t’ see the return of 564 dm values in the north, although I don’t think the same can be said for further south.
