The colder weather that’s flooding south across Scotland at the moment, might come as a bit of a shock to people who live further south, but as Shaun Wallace says, it’s just another day at the office for those of us who live north of latitude fifty seven this spring.
What I suppose I’m trying to say with these graphics is that some parts of the country have missed out entirely on the sunny and very warm weather of the last few weeks. We are the part of the country that always seems to be left out of phrases such as “much of the country” or “many places” in weathercaster speak. There was snow on the ground last week in Ross-shire, and the maximum so far this years is just 16.4°C. So the cold winds that blow over the next couple of days won’t come as that much of a shock here, even if tomorrows maximum of 13°C across parts of the south may come as a bit of a surprise.
