Latest March sunshine figures

Aberdeen is still at the top of the sunshine table for March in the UK, with 102 hours up until yesterday (21 March). Don’t forget Aberdeen was also the sunniest place in February. The increase in sunshine across the northeast of Scotland might just be another unexpected side effect of global warming, and perhaps in years to come some of the worlds best vineyards will be found on the braes above the Spey and the Dee, and local people will be able to imbibe not only on a nip of the Glenlivet, but also their favourite local Chardonnay.
