Massive 21.9°C diurnal range at Aviemore

This must be one of the largest ranges in temperature between dawn and early afternoon – around 12 to 14 hours – that I’ve ever seen in the UK in April, if not for any month. Aviemore are quite well sheltered from yesterday’s fresh easterly winds. and with the help of a foehn wind down from the Cairngorms managed to get up to a maximum of 16.5°C from a minimum of -5.4°C.
